CHRISTOPHE GERMAIN, Director, Head of Legal Office

After his internship with lawyer Denis Oswald, the former President of the Neuchâtel Bar Association, Christophe German became a lawyer in 1993. That same year, he started his career with Fiduconsult SA as a legal advisor. He became head of the Neuchâtel branch and then chief legal officer for the whole of French-speaking Switzerland. In April 2000, he joined UBS SA as Private Banking legal advisor for French-speaking Switzerland. In September 2000, he became a Board Member and Head of the legal department with Ferrier Lullin & Cie SA, a UBS Group private bank.

In 2006, he left the bank to join 1875 FINANCE as Head of the Legal Office.

JOSÉ VALLBONA, Executive Director – Senior Wealth Advisor.

José Vallbona began his career in 1995 at Ernst & Young Madrid as a Tax Consultant in the Bank and Insurance sector. Four years later, he joined UBS Spain Private Banking in the Wealth Planning Department. He also worked for Dell Computer Corporation and Banesto Bank, as head of the Wealth Planning Iberia International Department in Switzerland for 11 years. He graduated in Economics from the Complutense University of Madrid and holds an MBA from Duke University.

In 2016, he joined 1875 FINANCE as Senior Wealth Advisor.

ALEXANDRA BAILLY-MAITRE, Legal Officer - Family Office

Alexandra Bailly-Maitre began her career in marketing with a multinational company, then left for Dublin to work with various American financial corporations looking to set up their European hub in Ireland. She created the French-speaking back office departments for CIT Group Europe and Bear Stearns Bank Plc after being employed to relocate operational departments. In 2006 she became a compliance officer with a Canadian online payment start-up company specialising in online games, and moved the department from Toronto to Dublin.

After four years with a trust company in Geneva, she joined 1875 FINANCE in 2011 where her multi-faceted professional experience is of great value to clients of the Family Office.

HEIDI JAUCH, Senior Compliance Officer

Following her commercial apprenticeship with Credit Suisse Group AG in Lucerne, Heidi worked for Credit Suisse Geneva during five years. In 1993, she joined Multiplusfinance SA, a multi-family office specialised in the optimisation of asset management of client portfolios, where she worked part-time in order to complete her studies as a fashion designer at the Haute Ecole d’Arts Décoratifs, Geneva. After obtaining her diploma, she pursued her career with Multiplusfinance SA and was appointed vice-director in 2000 and “Head of legal & Compliance” in 2008. She was entrusted with the creation and implementation of a legal structure to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.

In 2009, Heidi completed her Master’s degree in Business Law (Maîtrise en droit économique) at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva.

In 2010, she joined Dukascopy Bank SA as a Legal and Compliance Officer, where she was, amongst others, responsible for the development and implementation of the compliance program.

In 2016, she joined 1875 FINANCE as a Senior Compliance Officer.

ELODIE MAGNIN, Assistant Compliance Officer

Elodie Magnin worked for various Geneva social institutions over several years.

She joined 1875 FINANCE in 2006 at its very start, developing her banking knowledge through a number of vocational trainings. She now acts as Compliance Officer under Christophe Germain.
